Pokémon Unite Is Here!
Calling all trainers! There’s a fierce new way to fight with your Pokémon. In Pokémon Unite, teams of five take part in thrilling battles with—and against—your favorite critters. Blending classic Pokémon tactics with up-tempo strategy, it’s a f
Team up
Like in most MOBAs, the game’s large map is broken into three lanes: top, middle, and bottom. The goal? Score goals! But this isn’t soccer—first you’ll need to defeat wild Pokémon and collect Aeos Energy, which you can then shoot into goals for points.
And it’s best to work together. When choosing a Pokémon, consider what role it plays on the team. Will you pick an Attacker like Pikachu and focus on taking down other beasties? Choose a Defender like the hefty Snorlax to keep the enemy from scoring? Bolster your squad with healing Support characters like Blissey and Eldegoss? A well-balanced team is a winning team!
Grow and go
Pokémon evolve over the course of a match, taking on new forms and gaining abilities as they level up. Do enough damage and your wee Squirtle will transform into Wartortle—and eventually a full-blown Blastoise.
You can make that terrifying tortoise even stronger by equipping different items both before and during a match. Wish your Slowbro was a little quicker? Equip a Float Stone to upgrade its attack and movement speed. Not so slow anymore!
Unite for victory
Every Pokémon has a special Unite Move that can quickly turn the tide of battle. Pikachu, for instance, can fry a group of enemies with its epic Thunderstorm, while Absol’s Midnight Slash can take out an opponent with a rapid flurry of strikes. With over 20 creatures available at launch—including fan favorites like Charizard, Machamp, and Alolan Ninetales—there’s definitely a Pokémon here worth choosing.
